This is SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NHL https://www.storeminnesotaonline.com/Joseph_Cramarossa_T_shirt-40. Each week, SB Nation sends out questions to the most plugged in Minnesota Wild fans, and fans across the country. This upcoming week survey continues to be about the NHL Trade Deadline - specifically, how active will it be How many deals will go down How many first round picks will teams swap Want to have your say To vote in the Reacts surveys and have your voice heard each week, As the team approaches the end of the season, the organization will need to decide what to do with this season. With the trade deadline just days away Jared Spurgeon T-Shirt, just over 50 percent of Wild fans want to see the team make a push for the playoffs this season. Of course, the question didn proclude the possibility of Minnesota just standing pat - which has been the prevaling opinion amongst commenters on Wild Twitter and our own HW comment sections. The deadline this season appears to be a buyers market, at least according to fans around the country. A slight majority of NHL fans would rather have their favorite team act as a seller at the deadline. That is in part due to the unique rules around this season https://www.storeminnesotaonline.com/Kevin_Fiala_Flag-147. The NHL has installed a flat cap on the season, preventing teams from adding big contracts. According to fans, more than three-fourths of fans think the flat cap will play a role in teams decisions to make a push for the playoffs. If a shotless first five-plus minutes of the Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers hockey game forced you to turn the channel or call up Criminal Minds on Netflix early tonight https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Dremont_Jones_T_shirt-35, you missed one wild third period. There wasn much to write home about for much of the first 20 minutes. For the Stars, they looked like a team that had played a game between these two teams last meeting on Saturday in a matinee showcase in Dallas. The Panthers had a slow start. It led to a very snooze-inducing beginning to what is yet another key game for the Stars if they want to climb into the playoff picture. After Florida negated their own power play chance, Aleksander Barkov (the only Panther guaranteed to score against Dallas, seemingly, every game) put his team on the board first in the dying seconds of the 4-on-4 play. Dallas first, albeit short-lived, power play expired shortly after. But less than a minute after going down 1-0, the Stars tied it right up. Jason Robertson scored his 12th goal of the season, continuing his hot scoring pace since March 1st of nearly a point per game. Dallas would get better in the second period, limiting the Panthers to just five shots on goal. Unfortunately, they come out of it losing 2-1 thanks to a Radko Gudas shot that hit Rhett Gardner stick and snuck into the net bar down over Anton Khudobin frame Melvin Gordon III T-Shirt. In the third period, more of that kind of luck continued which seems to be plaguing the Stars this year, both deserved and otherwise. They had a flurry of chances that Chris Driedger turned aside. They hit the post. Then Joe Pavelski ended his 10-game goal-less streak off a deft drive-by to tie the game up. Seems like the beginnings of a much happier ending than they got. Driedger reached his stick out and by the barest of margins yanked a game-winning goal out of the Stars grasp just minutes after Pavelski goal. ee got to start putting them in to win, Jason Dickinson said after the game. The Stars were able to once again take a game past regulation so that they earned at least a point. But like usual, they find another way to lose out on collecting the extra point from their opponent. This time, it was courtesy of a Jamie Benn tripping penalty. To be fair, Anthony Duclair could have easily sprinted into the offensive zone had he gotten past Benn with some tired Stars players on the ice during the three-on-three time. No real way to know whether they would have scored then to end it or if the Stars would have survived the rush Quinn Meinerz Face Mask. Either way, they went on the penalty kill. Khudobin stood tall for most of it, and made some key saves. They were six seconds away from killing it off and getting Benn out of the box. Instead, Frank Vatrano shot the puck in past a screened Khudobin to end it before reaching the shootout.

The Winnipeg Jets may be slowly turning a corner. While this team has a whole host of flaws, the squad is admittedly playing better hockey over the past several periods of action. The Jets will still look like a peewee roster at times, but it is encouraging to see at least some growth over the past few games of action. The shift to a top-line of Stastny-Scheifele-Wheeler may have helped fix one of the team biggest issues up front. Against a desperate Canadiens team, could the Jets repeat their recent offensive successThe First PeriodThe opening 20 minutes was relatively rollicking by Jets standards Trevor Lewis Flag. Both teams were looking to create dangerous opportunities off the rush and feast on cross-seam passes. Winnipeg had a notable early jump and the first line looked good. This new-look unit of guys closer to retirement than superstardom has been humming along nicely. Wheeler no longer has to burn every calorie in his body to get up the ice and it letting him serve as a patient distributor near the goal-line. He seems to be handling the puck less poorly and Stastny is always in good spots to capitalize on quality feeds. Photo by Minas Panagiotakis/Getty ImagesThat line was duly rewarded for their efforts towards the midway point of the period, with Wheeler deflecting a puck off of Stastny skate and past Jake Allen for the 1-0 advantage. It always good to see the top line scoring at 5v5 and genuinely playing well. Wee used to those lads struggling to hustle up the ice when theye playing with Connor. The Jets then added a second goal courtesy of the French Prince of St. Boniface (thanks for this one OxdriftPirate), Mathieu Perreault. Tyler Toffoli needlessly turned the puck over on a sloppy cross-slot pace from the walls that Perreault read perfectly. The Frenchman slipped between the Montreal defenders and put it home, his second goal in as many games. Winnipeg retained the lead to the intermission, and barring one really terrible defensive zone sequence earlier in the period, played pretty solid hockey! The Second PeriodI should know better than to get too excited when the Jets play well, because the Bad Jets are always right around the corner. The middle frame forced us to witness the Jets that just don do anything. For some reason, Winnipeg seemed to be content to rest on a 2-0 lead. I get that the Habs are in a tough stretch right now, but slowing the tempo down and letting Montreal rip shots into your slot the whole period seems like a poor strategy. Winnipeg reaped what it had sown with an ugly power play goal against, with Brendan Gallagher taking advantage of some netfront chaos and Beaulieu on his knees to score. The Habs then added insult to injury, with Toffoli tipping a deflection home to atone for his earlier goal against https://www.storewinnipeg.com/David_Gustafsson_Flag-139. When you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. The Jets don have a blueline unit capable of sitting back and letting other teams dictate the tempo. They need to push the pace with the forward units and carry the play up the ice as much as possible. The Third Period and OvertimeThe Jets seemed to feel the same way, because the final period saw Winnipeg playing a lot more like its first period self. Winnipeg attacked the Habs slot frequently and gutted Montreal defense pretty badly. The Canadiens were barely holding on when Stastny added his second goal of the game, a perfect snipe off an odd-man situation. The Habs defender between Stastny and Wheeler backed off https://www.storewinnipeg.com/Derek_Forbort_Hoodie-78, letting Paul do his thing. Photo by Minas Panagiotakis/Getty ImagesOf course, hockey is also very stupid sometimes, and with the Canadiens trailing late, they pulled their goalie and scored. The Jets don handle 6-on-5 situations well, letting their opponents grow a cycle game and create perimeter havoc before attacking the slot. This goal was a tipped deflection, another in a growing list for the Jets. I not sure if someone suddenly found Winnipeg Achilles heel in front of Hellebuyck but it an annoying trend. Clear the crease, Jets! The game proceeded to overtime, where Winnipeg freakin owns. Mo has been running 3 forwards out there more frequently, and he did it again tonight. While Winnipeg did have to get a couple of amazing saves from Hellebuyck (including one I dub The Scoot), the Jets generally had the run of puck possession. You just can match the sorts of 3-forward trios the Jets can roll in overtime, and one of the trios earned the extra point. Ehlers and Dubois combined to score a glorious winner and got Winnipeg the victory. Nice!Three TakeawaysThe top line is humming once again. The addition of Stastny to Scheifele and Wheeler has worked wonders. Footspeed, once a concern for this unit, is now an asset to the way the skaters work together. The slower pace is helping Blake avoid burning himself out on every shift, and all 3 players are excellent passers. Theye creating all sorts of scoring opportunities near the net, and even Wheeler seems to be taking more shots. The second line needs a change. I a lot less fond of Connor-Dubois-Ehlers. They don seem have to much chemistry https://www.storewinnipeg.com/Jordie_Benn_T_shirt-44, and PLD was a bit of a mess tonight. The top line is fine as-is, so the Jets need to find a better arrangement from the bottom lines. It about time to promote Perreault to the top-6, so I wouldn mind a Perreault-Dubois-Ehlers line. The Jets are trending up. . . somewhat. Look, take it with a grain of salt when I say the Jets are improving. We all know this division is a dumpster fire. That said. . . Winnipeg is improving all the same. Theye played some quality attacking hockey over the past few games and it may be something they can replicate. Who knows! This team is a box of chocolates, with about a third of them having gone rancid already. Youl just have to take a bit and enjoy the ride.

Before the season started https://www.stprostoreonline.com/Dakota_Joshua_T_shirt-60, much was said about Justin Faulk and his role on the team. Losing Alex Pietrangelo understandably shifted focus to the defenseman whose contract was slowly turning into an albatross around Doug Armstrong neck. What if that huge deal is why it was difficult to sign Alex Pietrangelo What if Petro leaving was followed up by another sub-par season from Faulk Would he be the first offered up on a plate to the expansion Seattle Kraken Would they even take that contractQuestions are always fair. It was perfectly legitimate to raise an eyebrow at Faulk starting the season on the top pairing with Torey Krug instead of Colton Parayko skating with the former Bruin. Coach Craig Berube and the rest of the coaching staff saw an opportunity for Faulk there, and it was an opportunity that could be rescinded later if need be, no problem. Faulk has taken that opportunity and hasn let go. There a debate about if the historical Renaissance ever really was a legitimate thing St.Louis Blues Custom Face Mask, insofar as its impact on the population as a whole (obviously, it happened, but folks living during that period weren quite as aware of it being a massive deal as, say, people during the Industrial Revolution). If a rebirth has to impact those around whatever being reborn, then Faulk renaissance so far is the real deal. Faulk has two two-goal games so far this season, putting him at five goals and three assists for the season. He had five goals and eleven assists in 63 games last year. Plus/minus-wise (a stat that everyone loves to debate), Faulk has shifted from a -9 to a league best +16 so far on the year. Faulk only finished with a positive +/- once in his career, a +9 in 2018-2019. Faulk success could come down to his 12. 5% shooting percentage (again, a career high) and his incredibly high 80. 0 shots through percentage, which are the percent of Faulk shots that wind up on goal. Faulk shooting has improved this season. Obviously, something is clicking between Faulk and his pairing partner https://www.stprostoreonline.com/Vladimir_Tarasenko_Pet_Jersey-295, Krug. Is it sustainable success That a tough question to answer, because you won be able to tell something like that so early in the season. His shooting percentage and shots through percentage will probably regress a little bit. Even if it does, it still overall a trend that Blues fans want to see. Maybe it the mustache. Maybe it Krug. Maybe last year was a wake-up call. Who knows It nice to see Faulk succeed - no one was actively rooting for him not to; many Blues fans were concerned about return on investment. If someone actually is rooting for Faulk to fail, theye going to be disappointed this season. If players are successful as individuals within a team, the team successful. The Blues have had to snap themselves out of some sketchy play this season here and there, and the strong play of their top defensive pairing has gone a long way toward that.

The Titans practiced on Thursday and one key player returned while several others continued to sit out. Titans practice update for Thur. Not spotted: AJ Brown, Milton, Kelly, J. Smith, Simmons. Returning: A. Jackson. Most notably, Adoree Jackson returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday session https://www.tennesseefanstoreonline.com/Eric_Decker_Pillow_Cover-417. Some fans were in full blown crisis mode while others remained calm. Jackson returning to the field on Thursday is a great sign and likely proves that yesterday absence was nothing more than a maintenance day. Limiting Jackson practice reps makes a lot of sense considering he just played his first game of the season. They really eased him into the lineup last Sunday Dillon Radunz Face Mask. Hopefully he ready for a heavier workload against the Packers and their high octane offense this Sunday night. Jeffery Simmons and Dennis Kelly sat out their second straight practice. They were both listed on yesterday injury report with nee designations. We expect to see the same injuries listed for both players when the report comes out later today. There no reason to panic yet. We haven received any worrying reports of an injury for either player Wyatt Ray Hoodie, and Vrabel likes to use both Wednesday and Thursday as days off for some of his better players.

Hopefully the clock is ticking on the eradication of the pandemic Tyrod Taylor Hoodie. But in the meantime, the clock is ticking on NFL players, members of the Houston Texans of course included, on whether they will decide if they wish to opt out of the 2021 NFL season. The deadline to do so is 3 p. m. CT on July 2, with the voluntary opt out available to any player who executed his contract prior to Oct. 1, 2020. How does this impact the TexansIn 2020, the Texans had one opt-out player in defensive end Eddie Vanderdoes. Meanwhile, a player now being counted on in Houston, offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, utilized the opt-out rule last season as a member of the New England Patriots. And Cannon is here to testify that there ended up being benefits to taking the opt out that went beyond the rule original intent Desmond King II Flag. This last year was amazing, Cannon said to Houston media on a Zoom call on March 29, reflecting on his season away from football. I got a lot of time with the family. A lot of time for myself to work out and stay in shape and just get my body right. Get my body right and my mind right. It was great. Of course, it is not necessarily great for the employer - though the bigger picture is being observed here by the NFL. And there can be financial ramifications, too, as while players who are deemedhigh-risk for COVID-19 can be entitled to a $350,000 stipend, but voluntary opt-out players will generally not be given a stipend. READ MORE:Could Texans QB Deshaun Watson Be Out Until 2023There is every reason for the NFL https://www.houstongearonline.com/Tae_Davis_Face_Mask-602, and for the Texans, to prioritize health and safety. And at the same time, the balance exists in that the league, the team and the athlete are allin business as well. For Cannon, the balance was clear. It was great to have some time off from all of the bumps and bruises Ive had over the years, he said. The part Im the most happy about is the time I had with my family.

The Miami Dolphins open their veteran minicamp this morning. This is the first and only mandatory event of the offseason for the team, giving the club their one chance to see the entire roster before training camp begins late in July. This also is the one chance the media has to get a look at the team as a whole. Will the Tua Tagovailoa to Jaylen Waddle connection shine Will Emmanuel Ogbah and Xavier Howard report to minicamp after skipping the voluntary events earlier in the offseason training program Minicamp will run from Tuesday through Thursday Larnel Coleman Hoodie. The team is allowed to hold two practices for a total of 3. 5 hours each day of the minicamp, with the second practice limited to a walkthrough. The Dolphins coaches and players are believed to have made a deal this year to slow down some of the workouts during the offseason training program in order to ensure maximized attendance at all the workouts, avoiding some of the skipped practices from players on other teams around the league Preston Williams Hoodie. Falling under the Phase Three rules of the offseason training program, the minicamp can include 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills, but there is no live contact allowed. Following the end of the minicamp on Thursday, the Dolphins will break until the start of training camp on July 27 https://www.miamigearonline.com/Bob_Griese_Pet_Jersey-282. Considering Derrick Henry tear through the 2020 season, it easy to forget just how much attrition the Titans had to deal with on the offensive line https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Quinn_Meinerz_Flag-625. Taylor Lewan was the first domino to fall, delivering a big blow to the offense early in the season. Lewan tore his ACL during week five, and was lost for the season. He quickly underwent surgery, and has spent time since in full rehab mode. However, according to Lewan, he advancing to the next phase, and things are going well. y ACL is doing great, Lewan said this week. bviously, it was tough being out during the season, especially missing that much time. It has been a lot of time for reflecting and growing. The knee is doing really well. I am doing change of direction now, doing some running. Ie never missed practice in my life like missed it, like personally. Ie missed going to practice. atching the boys out there running around and playing ball, it definitely makes you miss it a whole bunch. I can wait for this season. ewan will roll right back into his spot at left tackle Damion Willis T-Shirt, continuing to anchor an offensive line that just paved the way for a 2,000 yard rusher. Rodger Saffold, Ben Jones and Nate Davis will return, while wel see a battle play out in training camp for the right tackle spot. Lewan has played in 90 career games to this point after being selected by the Titans in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He since appeared in three Pro Bowls, and will be looking to get back to that level in 2021. For now, he still stuck on the sidelines https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Kendall_Hinton_Pillow_Cover-507. He wouldn make any promises on a return date, but it sounds like things are progressing towards a return at some point during training camp.
